IS INDIA REALLY DEVELOPING??????

Is India really developing???

India is one of the powerful out of the developing countries. India is termed everywhere across the world as the new emerging power and is one of the probable countries of winning the berth of next permanent member nation of the UNO. But where among these facts lies the answer to the question “Is India really developing??” What is “Development” acc. to Indian govt? Despite the fact that India is an emerging power of the world & developed a lot since its independence , has it brought any difference in the no. of people living Below Poverty Line (BPL)? What are the dimensions & criteria followed by Govt .to define “Development”. Does development stand for the likes of Lakshmi Mittal, Ambani brothers & others of the kind being included in the catalogue of the world’s richest people? If this is what development stands for then certainly India is developing & perhaps progressing by leaps & pounds……………

Our Indian society’s development can be viewed from three aspects…………

1.) Social
2.) Political
3.) Economical

SOCIAL

Indian society outlook is totally changed since its independence. Science has played its part well in bringing about this change. But with advent of science in the veins of our society, social taboos like female foeticide, harassment, dowry deaths, child labor, etc. have not taken the back seat. with advancement or the so-called development of the country , besides increase in the no. of such crimes, some new heinous crimes have cropped up the likes of the recent kidney scam of Gurgaon, the psycho serial killings of women & children by maneaters viz. Moninder S. Kohli… at Noida & Nandigram in Bihar. The kidney scam has brought shame to the whole medical profession which is primarily to serve mankind…These crimes put shackles to the progress & growth of our country. We can’t develop unless we put shackles to the new kind of terror arising within our society. Before we prepare to fight against trespassers across borders, extruders & infiltrants, we need to fight against the terror within our society.

POLITICAL

Politics in India are in utterly bad shape. The 2008 Indian govt. Hold is at stake. MPs, MLAs are being purchased (for Rs. 25 Crore) to support govt. for trust vote in Lok Sabha on 21st July, 2008. Our India is led by many illiterates, corrupt & devilish politicians & some of them have criminal background like Yadavs of Bihar. Politics is just a game, infact a perfect gamble where the politician whether a loser or winner in election always gains and the one who are at loss always is the Indian public. Presently India is led by its 1st lady President Smt. Pratibha Patil, with no distinction in qualification and was once sued for fraudery case at her hometown in Rajasthan. The president of India passes by Indian national flag when on a foreign visit without even saluting it and was reminded to salute by her foreign contemporary… at least a politician holding such an august office of nation can’t afford to do such a faux pas. If start to count the no. of honest leaders across India, perhaps the count will end up on our hands itself…the think tanks of India when decided to set up some educational eligibility to be a MPs n MLAs, the bill was strongly n unanimously opposed by many. Most of the politicians are illiterate with no educational feedback; the pitiful part is India is today run these people when the Indian elites in foreign countries are helping in growth of other countries economy. Indian youth is running towards foreign countries i.e. brain drain is on high and in few years to come if the things go the same way India will become a barren land. India is increasingly becoming a place not suitable to be lived……all because of the bad politics. These bad n merciless politics, whose rules know no kins, are taking the whole toll of the Indian wealth meant for growth of Indian economy. I wonder if Nadir Shah Abdali happens to come back to earth , he would be ashamed of himself that being a looter , a dacoit he couldn’t loot India off his booty n bring its economy to its nadir as India’s own leaders are doing today.
Of course it is true that India is growing but not developing. Growth of a country can lead its economy to the zenith if it’s good n to the nadir if it happens to be bad n unhealthy growth which is actually occurring in India.

ECONOMIC

India, by 2020, would be self satisfying country in all its resources. With the current 11.91% inflation rate and with all hopes to reach 13% by the start of next financial year 2009, Can we still hope that India will keep developing?? Indian economic growth has slipped by 3% with steadily increasing inflation , finance minister Mr.P.Chidambaram is still hallucinating that Indian economy is growing at 8% growth rate.
Infact with increasing inflation, the economic growth rate is going to slip from 8% to 7.4% by the dawn of next year. With inflation rising in mammoth measures, it is difficult to keep the economic growth rate steady. The likes of industrialists like Ambani brothers, Birlas, Tatas, Mittals, Azim Premji are present in the inventory of world’s billionaires, however, in no way depicts the progress of our nation. In India still the wealth is concentrated in few hands. Only the cricketers, film stars, politicians & industrialists, whom many Indians idealize, have ample money more than they need & also earned by treachery & dishonesty. The Rs.2100 crore project was finalized for entertainment industry with deal b/w ABCL & Anil Ambani …… won’t this money help improve the financial conditions of slum in Mumbai & BPL families whose count even after so much claimed development remains 38% of total Indian population. Even this money doesn’t belong to any of them, they might have collected this much money by just not paying taxes. Is the increase in no. of Indians counting among world’s billionaires the fair criteria for fathoming the development of India?? The richer are getting richer and the poorer are becoming poorer. Its time we realize where our economy is heading --- Is it really development??

The Indian govt. must do something for India now. The govt. must redefine the dimensions of ‘development’. India needs to venture ahead for ‘Sustainable Development’. Development should be without ruining our people, environment, culture, morals & also preserve for future generations to rise. Its time we act, if all politicians stop corruption for one week, the change will be vivid. This time the first step should be taken by govt. Today the politics in India are corrupt & dirty; the politicians are eating away & destroying India at the root level. The corruption is crippling Indian economy like the HIV Virus cripples human body & at same pace as it invades the body. The Indian leaders have looted India off its booty in such amounts & pushed the economy to the ultimate nadir that even Nadir Shah Abdali would wonder & perhaps worship the Indian politicians for their skills & still ruling India majestically!!!!! It’s high time –public must wake up & act at least at nature’s call –today our environment & other natural resources are at danger. We, as a country, need to grow & develop to bring back India’s glory of “THE GOLDEN SPARROW”
